It has been 10 days since powerful earthquakes destroyed communities across southern Turkey and northern Syria. Ten days, and there still is no clear idea of the toll the disaster will have. When it came time to choose this month’s recipient in our Lawyers Give Back donation campaign, it was a no-brainer.

So many charities are collecting money to help in relief efforts, but our research led us to International Rescue Committee, which already had a presence in Syria at the time of the earthquake (due to an already desperate humanitarian crisis), allowing them to respond more quickly.
